Hello! I'm Joseph Vigil, a Software Engineer and Web Developer with a background in mechatronics engineering and a passion for building reliable, scalable software solutions. I enjoy creating modern web applications and intuitive user experiences, backed by robust backend systems.
After earning my Master’s in Mechatronics Engineering from Colorado State University-Pueblo, I transitioned into software development, bringing with me a unique perspective from engineering, robotics, and systems control. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects—from developing full-stack web applications and managing SQL-driven warehouse management systems at Nike, to designing prototypes for medical devices and even creating my own board game.
Most recently, I began working with Coding Temple, a top-rated software engineering bootcamp, further sharpening my skills in full-stack development, modern frameworks, and real-world application building.
Some of the technologies I work with include:
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, React, Typescript, Bootstrap, MUI, Tailwind, Angular
Backend: Python, Flask, SQL, API-Development, Firebase, Firestore, Java, Spring Boot, AWS
Mechatronics: Arduino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
I believe in continuous improvement, which is why I actively hone my problem-solving skills through coding challenges and side projects.
